I can't stop reading!

I know I've been slacking on my blog writing. But I have been on this reading kick. I seriously have read so much this week I have been having trouble sleeping. It's becoming an obsession. I fall asleep with a book across my chest(which the hubs is getting quite offended by, LOL) and I wake up early just so I can either log on here to read a few new posts before the girls wake up or I try to read a few chapters of whatever book I'm on before 8AM.
So, I wanted to let you all in on what has captured my attention for the better part of the last 2weeks.
I'll start of with a few of my favorite blogs then follow with what books I've been reading.
Great blogs! And these are totally random, so no hurt feeling if your not listed. Trying to go by last post that really caught my attention!
` The Life of Tracia`
A Mother's Work is Never Done
Apron Strings
Cooking For Little Fingers
Crazy-For-Books.com
Flight of the Mama Bee
My Name is Not Mommy
Proud Book Nerd
Seeds of Faith Women
SinSiNattie
Skinned Knees
StrawberryRoan
The Reason For My Insanity
Theses mommies have amazing blogs!

Now on to my BOOKS!
I'll list the latest 3 I have finished!

These are the first 2 of a 4 book series based on the first settlers in what is now Ohio(where I'm at). I just picked up the 3rd book from the library today. can't wait to get reading it!
Book 1:Proper Intentions~Dianne Christner
Book 2:Lofty Ambitions
Book 3: Ample Portions
Book 4: Castor Oil and Lavender

And here is the 3rd book I finished this week
It is 4 short stories about Colonial Christmas' I know it's off season, but it really is a wonderful collection of Christian stories
Colonial Christmas Brides~ By: LauraLee Bliss & Irene B. Brand

If these types of books interest you, then I recommend finding a copy.
I love just about any type of book. From true crime, romance, historical, even jr readers as you may have noticed(I steal my daughter's all the time), but I really enjoy anything based loosely on actual history or facts woven into any type of story. Hey we can always learn something new. Or should I say old?
Happy Reading and Blogging!

You should try the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon if you haven't already. My mother in law had the first 3 books just collecting dust and I loved reading them so much that I had to buy all the books in the series available. They have a lot of history packed in them, with some romance and a lot of adventure and time travel to boot.

If you like some sci-fi books, I have been reading a great series about the Napoleonic War era and how the battles would have gone with dragons as aerial fighters with their own human crews. The battles end up the same, but it is so unique how Naomi Novik incorporates the dragons into it.

Thanks for the shout out! I'm so glad that you enjoy my blog. I'm trying to get back into reading books too. I used to read a TON but time is short these days...
