Blog troubles

Good Morning,
I just wanted to let everyone who follows know that I have been working on changing up a few things on my blog. As you may have noticed my blog button says the photo/image has been removed. The code actually still works, only the photo is gone. I am trying to make a new button and photobucket is giving me some trouble. I have tried to resize the pic but it turns it into a black and white jumble of blah. It is totally distorting the photo.  I'm also working on starting out with a new meme(book review), but also trying to make a button for it is giving me trouble. I cannot get the font right!! When I get it all designed the way I want it to look and go to resize it, same thing. It is taking off the font and shifting the image.
So, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on why things are a little slow on my blog lately. I have been busy reading some great books. Hopefully, I will get to share them with you soon. Keep checking back! Thank you all for sticking it outwith me.
Happy Blogging!

Mommy Days

A little ditty about me...well and probably most of you

Do you hear what I hear?
Pitter patter of little feet and the whispers of" I want a treat!"
Here they come two by two,
"You go ask, no you"!

Laundry, dishes, vacuum, will it ever be done?
Again today? I just want to run.
Far far away, for atleast 10minutes until I miss them like crazy,
I dare you Mr. to call me lazy,

What tonight, soccer, dance, grocery, girl scouts or band....
When we cross the street, you WILL hold my hand!

It's 9pm, why are you awake?
What homework??? Oh for goodness sake!

PTO, fundraisers, emergency forms and more,
Homework for Mommy? Are you really sure?

Did you pack my lunch, wash my jeans, are you picking me up after school?
Mom, you cannot wear pajamas to the bus stop....You are so uncool!

I'll take a break when you are all grown,
I'll miss all these little things, when I'm home all alone!

19. I finally get to go to church on a Wednesday!
20. My God is an awesome God!!!

busy, crazy, confused,inspired

I finally have a few minutes to jot down whatever comes to mind. Now, I will warn you ahead of time this may end up being a big bunch of confusing blaaahhhhh! But, that's pretty much how my brain has been working lately.

I have so many things I want to do, should be doing, need to do and basically at the end of the day I'm lucky if the dishes are done, the kids remembered their homework and everyone and thing got fed. Now, I don't want to sound like I am complaining. I do enjoy every crazy, unorganized, chaotic day of my wonderful life! I am just a person who thrives for routine, structure and stability. Therefore I am extra hard on myself when I seem to lack these things, as I am the one in charge of the household for the most part.( still with me?, LOL)
We have been dealing with a lot of things lately, between everyone's schedules, pre-teen attitude, sibling rivalry,God, finances, marital issues, family, house issues....., now I know this is all just part of life and I'm cool with that. It's just I have certain goals for myself, my kids, husband, and all of us as a family and I have really been trying to do better on all of these issues. Yes, all at once! We are a work in progress. We are learning together to work on or through these things. I think the light bulb has finally came on! We are learning to better handle each situation as it arises and to put God first in ourselves, home and family. It is a very rewarding accomplishment. Each day we learn something new and how every choice we make affects those in our lives. How all those little things really do pay off and make a difference.
I encourage you to try it. Start off small and watch what happens.
I guess that's all I really wanted to say. I just needed to get it out and see it in black and white. Even if just for myself. just to say I wrote something today. :)
God Bless all my blogging buddies today!

My ramblings....

Just another one of my venting posts..... got too much on my mind and a little too much coffee after 8pm. So here it is...
If I let it go.....I'm irresponsible
If I hold on...I'm overprotective
If I give too much...I'm spoiling
If I give too little....I'm negligant
If I stand my ground.....I'm selfish and stubborn
If I state my mind....I'm opionated and harsh
If I hold it inside...I may burst
If I let it out....I WILL burst
If you talk...I will listen
If I talk...Who will listen?
If I do it my way...I was wrong
If I do it your way..."I told ya so"!
If I ask for help....I am weak
If I don't ask...I am weak

Frustrated....

Where to begin....
Since the beginning we've had a vision, an understanding. Although we started out young, we knew from the beginning what each of us wanted, dreamed, and expected, and for the most part what our limits were both physically and emotionally..
We knew we wanted kids, that we wanted to lead a good Christian life, honesty, dependancy, trustworthiness, faithfullness to not only each other, but also to our Lord and our family, and that this was forever and ever. We vowed to try our best everyday and to be completely dedicated to the family we made. That we would not give up or cop out and make false promises as we have seen and been a part of in our extended family and friends. We would use the lessons learned from others to help guide us in the direction we wanted our own family to go. Now maybe I am nit picking and being selfish, but I am so frustrated. I know I keep hearing how Sean only has a few more months of school left and things will be back to normal or better. But to be honest, I don't see it. My whole mind set has changed over the last 2 yrs. I still have to depend on others for rides(as I do not drive), but other than that, I have had to become completely independant with everything. The kids, the schedule, the house, bills, errands, and any decisions that need made. I feel like a single parent most days. We basically do what needs done or whatever we choose without any input or checking with Daddy. I miss our Thursday dinners out. I miss having dinner ready when he comes in the door and the girls jumping for joy that Daddy is home. I miss making ANY plans. Now a days it's more like there is me and the kids and then there is Sean and his job, school or softball. It's completely divided. I can't rely on him to help out around the house, getting the girls to their practices or to church or anything. There are so many things that need done and the best response I get is "Maybe, this weekend I'll have time".(which he never does, because he works Saturday and Sundays are spent at the computer for 3 or 4 hrs doing homework or projects. I have come to a place where I just wander through life day to day wondering when he'll make an appearance. And even then what kind of mood will he be in. Obviously, he has his own stress, which I would be more willing to talk out with him if he even knew a 1/10 of my own stresses. I almost dread his arrival because it just messes up our temporary routine we have aquired. Does this make any sense??? Oh..... I may be losing it.
So, finally. the last straw was this. The girls started soccer and all summer we have heard, how he is was going to be at their games, he was going to go in later on Saturdays and also help out getting them to practices(which are Monday evenings)...over and over we heard how school was almost over and it was getting easier to work around things.... And then Monday he gets his schedule for the new quarter... and guess when his classes are?! Mon, Tues, and Saturday!!! UGGGHHHH
I am crushed, Juliette has cried herself to sleep(he missed every band concert last year), and Caralyne just repeatedly asks me all day long.."When is Daddy coming home, is tonight a school night, Is Daddy coming to practice, where is Daddy, What time is Daddy's school over?" And to be honest, my only answer is "I don't know, sweetie"!

Blogger MIA

Ok, I'm not really missing, but I have been pretty busy this summer. Even just keeping the offspring occupied during the day can be very draining. As most of you know with Sean still in school we haven't had the time nor money for any away vacations. Most of our summer has been spent with luches out, trips to the library, over to Mamaw's just to hang out, walks to the park, movie days and volunteering at a friend's church during Summer Shine. Which is a 5wk program pretty much like an extended VBS, that runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Also soccer has begun for the year/season. So now my Monday and Wednesday evenings consist of me walking back and forth from one field to the other. Luckily, I have the most awesome Mom who helps out with this and Sean has been able to come to a couple Monday practices. I don't have much time to write once again. I apologize for this not being my typical Wednesday post and I know I promised to be more faithful with that. Hopefully things will slow down soon.
Happy Blogging!

Happy 4th of July(a little late)

Once again I am way behind. I really wanted to do a big Red, White, And Blue blog page. But this thing we call life keeps getting put at the top of my list. Even above blogging! LOL
So how did everyone spend their holiday? Cook-outs, parties, fireworks, parades?
That's pretty much how ours went. Fun in the sun , driving from here to there. Trying to stay cool and entertain the kids. My baby girl was in her first ever parade! She was super excited but after waiting on the float and then going through the actual parade it took a total of 3 hrs. and it was a whopping 93 degrees here.No breeze, no shade! She was sweating, hungry and exhausted! Her Girl Scout Troop was represented by the church that sponsors them. Way to go LUMC and Troop #44039

Have I Told You

I know I skipped last weeks Wednesday post, but I also skipped Tuesday's and the rest of the week. Not by choice. It has been one crazy week around here. We have gotten some bad news in the family, I started babysitting, VBS is going on at almost every church around here, and my biggest reason for being absent on here is my crazy phone and internet service! I was without a phone for almost 4 weeks on and off and the internet was going in and out also. I think it is finally fixed. So now I am trying to play catch up on here.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer.
Happy blogging!

New Design Blog?

Ok, I know I'm blonde, but I am not liking this new design junk. I thought I would just see what it had to offer, maybe a new font or easier way to arrange things on my blog. Yea, well if you are viewing my blog, you can obviously tell it has just messed up all my stuff. Now once again my followers are gone, my " blogs I love" are all hidden and spread out, and NOT scrolling! UGGHH!!
I also noticed when you hit undo edit, basically nothing happens and there is a whole other layout" hidden" behind my actual template. So, I tried everything to try and just reset my whole page and what you see is as close as I could get to what I had before.
I am so frustrated. By tomarrow I may have a whole new look because I am going to have to keep playing around until I can figure something out!
Does anyone know of a way to get back to default template without losing all my things on the sidebar?
Or atleast reset my codes without deleting them?
Sorry for all the rambling. I guess this will just be my post that says" Keep checking back to see all the changes!" Cause you never know what your gonna get! LOL
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Sometimes even a SAHM gets bored!

Yes, it's true! I do have days where there is just nothing to do.
WARNING: Never leave Mommy home alone with a camera and new batteries!
LMBO! I'm not always the serious Mommy! Shhh... don't tell the offspring!

Yup! Still have 10 toes, just checking
Hmmm....

I cannot  do the "mirror" shots. I have tried unsuccessfully several times.
If I turn the flash off, I look like I am morphing through the mirror. Oh well!

This is the "Mean Mommy" look. If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Ok, now tell me you didn't laugh just a little bit?!

Welllll... Still bored!
Probably thinking of something I can go read!

Have I Told You...

Welcome Wednesday!
Today I just want to really put myself out there. So here are just a few of the "me" things.
1. I was born in 1980! On April 15, yes I'm a tax baby that turned the big 3-0 this year!
2. I was born and raised in Ohio(spending my summers in Kentucky), so I'm really a country girl at heart.
3. I have been drunk a big total of 5 times in my whole life, Not that I am proud of that at ALL.
4. I haven't had a drink(alcohol) in almost 2 yrs.
5. I am a Christian SAHM
6. I actually met my hubby at age 15. He was 20
7. I started dating him at 16
8. I married him at 17
9. Had our first daughter, Juliette at 18
10. We have only been on 1 vacation alone since our honeymoon in 13 years.(Gatlinburg in 08')
11. I had to withdrawl from school 3 months and 3 credits before I graduated HS. (it's a long story)
12. I earned my GED in 2003 after our second daughter was born
13.I love to learn new things
14. I have broken the same 3 fingers, 3 times in my life
15. I have a horrible voice but secretly love to sing!
16. My biggest fear is driving. I've never had a license but have had my temps 6 times
17. I haven't seen my Dad since I was 18
18. I dream of having more children, but cannot
19. I drink way too much coffe and it is catching up with me
20. I obviously read more than I write. And sometimes wish it was the other way around

I hope this gives you a little insight to the real me. Any comments are appreciated. Any questions are welcome. I am learning to embrace who I am and not hide from it! As my youngest would say
" That's just the way God made me!!"

Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

:Grab your current read.

:Open to a random page.

:Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.

:BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

:Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here is my teaser:
The Seduction of His Wife~ Janet Chapman(no relation to "The Dog")
Pg. 186
Alex couldn't for the life of him pick which emotion was in charge at the moment. He was violently shaking over what she'd done, but it might be anger tying his gut in a knot.

I can't stop reading!

I know I've been slacking on my blog writing. But I have been on this reading kick. I seriously have read so much this week I have been having trouble sleeping. It's becoming an obsession. I fall asleep with a book across my chest(which the hubs is getting quite offended by, LOL) and I wake up early just so I can either log on here to read a few new posts before the girls wake up or I try to read a few chapters of whatever book I'm on before 8AM.
So, I wanted to let you all in on what has captured my attention for the better part of the last 2weeks.
I'll start of with a few of my favorite blogs then follow with what books I've been reading.
Great blogs! And these are totally random, so no hurt feeling if your not listed. Trying to go by last post that really caught my attention!
` The Life of Tracia`
A Mother's Work is Never Done
Apron Strings
Cooking For Little Fingers
Crazy-For-Books.com
Flight of the Mama Bee
My Name is Not Mommy
Proud Book Nerd
Seeds of Faith Women
SinSiNattie
Skinned Knees
StrawberryRoan
The Reason For My Insanity
Theses mommies have amazing blogs!

Now on to my BOOKS!
I'll list the latest 3 I have finished!

These are the first 2 of a 4 book series based on the first settlers in what is now Ohio(where I'm at). I just picked up the 3rd book from the library today. can't wait to get reading it!
Book 1:Proper Intentions~Dianne Christner
Book 2:Lofty Ambitions
Book 3: Ample Portions
Book 4: Castor Oil and Lavender

And here is the 3rd book I finished this week
It is 4 short stories about Colonial Christmas' I know it's off season, but it really is a wonderful collection of Christian stories
Colonial Christmas Brides~ By: LauraLee Bliss & Irene B. Brand

If these types of books interest you, then I recommend finding a copy.
I love just about any type of book. From true crime, romance, historical, even jr readers as you may have noticed(I steal my daughter's all the time), but I really enjoy anything based loosely on actual history or facts woven into any type of story. Hey we can always learn something new. Or should I say old?
Happy Reading and Blogging!

School's Out for Summer

Let the craziness games begin!
Today is the girls first day of summer!
Let's go over my dream the plan!
1. Sleep in late (Didn't happen) they were both up by 8am
2. Eat a good hot breakfast, since they are actually home to eat(I'm not hungry. Can we have a popsicle?)
3. Get up/dressed/fed, ready to do "something"(still in jammies at 12pm, watching Chipmunks Squeakual for the 3rd time since last night)!!! And yes they had a popsicle!
So, it hasn't went as planned but amazingly they are actually playing together. I love their secret sister moments when they actually "LIKE" each other. How sweet is that??
It feels good to see them spending time together. I often worry with the age gap if they will be as close as I hope they will. Julie being the oldest, always wants to be in charge. She has her "tween" moments where she wants privacy, loud music, phone calls, or just to get away. Go somewhere away from parents and little sis. Be with her friends. With Caralyne it is hard for her to understand why her sis doesn't want to be with her 24/7. She also wants to be a "big girl" and of course hangout in Julie's room, show off around her friends.
So days like today, with no school, or outside influence it's nice to see them turn to eachother for friendship, and attention.
Although they have been pretty quiet for awhile now. They could be in there plotting some great scheme against me!
How are your kids with each other when school is out? Do they seem different together when they are home more?
Again, I realize it is only the first day of summer(for us) and I'm sure in a day or two their attitudes will change!

Wow! My buttons are working!!

Ok, This post has NO point other than all of a sudden my buttons are actually scrolling! Not just the first 3 and then restarting! It's actually scrolling through all of them! How cool is that!?!?!
Ok, I have some non-blog things I really need to catch up on, but later(hopefully today), I will go through my followers and add any buttons I missed or haven't added yet. So if your my buddy and I'm not displaying your button yet, leave me a comment to remind me to hop over and grab your button!
Feel free to grab mine as well!
Thanks to All!

Have I Told You...

Wow! Wednesday already! 1 more day of school for the kids.
Lately I have really been trying to appreciate and thank The Lord for all the things I have in my life, big and small. I think it is important to take a good long look at things from time to time and not forget what is important. I have noticed the weather is more enjoyable and with Sean being home in the evening we really have gotten out more. Even if it's just playing around in the yard or getting the kids more involved in what we are doing. Mainly trying to fix up our home and yard. I think it is important for children to learn chores and to see with their own eyes how hard work pays off. And to learn the beauty in all the things our God has given us. I'm a sucker for nature anyway!
So today I want to thank God for the rainbow!
RAINBOW: rain'bow[-boh] n arch of prismatic colors in sky.

Genesis 9:12-13
And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the Earth.

So here are a few pictures I found that just caught my attention and I thought they were pretty neat!

Follow Me back Tuesday

Trying my first Follow me back Tuesday!
Hoping this works. I'm still a little confused on the "linky" things!

LittleYayas

Tuesday:In with the new! PICS!

So here it is the old and new! Sorry it took a whole day to get these on here, but after everything got hauled off and the new brought in and cleaned up we decided to go out to eat with our friends(moving buddies) and then came home and played outside. Well, until it started raining! Oh and Sean did mow the back yard!
Ok, here are the before and afters

BEFORE/OLD

Hard to see all the little crayon,  pencil lead marks and nicks in the table, but they are there.

The old living room "set"

You'll notice my cat is a picture ham. It's like playing "where's waldo"?
See how many pics you can find with Speedy in them, te he

AFTER/NEW
I'm so excited!

It has a flip down table with cup holders! The kids were fascinated by it!

Built in storage! Woo Hoo, Mommy is Happy!

Recliners too, Daddy is Happy!!

New dining room table! seats 6!

I love the little bench!
I moved the bench out for picture, but for now I think we will keep it against the wall, until we need it.
I like the detail on the chairs
Oh, you just missed Speedy, she jumped out of the chair on the left! LOL
Now I need a really cute centerpiece!

Ok, well now I'm going to go recline on my new sofa and read some of my new book I just started. Also going to try and figure out a really nice meal to fix tonight to eat at our new table. Sean is on break from school so it will be nice to have a quiet family dinner! And no fighting over who gets to use the twirly computer chair! LOL
Now they will be fighting over the bench seat, which is the reason it is tucked under until needed!
Oh you sneaky, sneaky Mommy!!

Oh, I almost forgot to add 1 last pic!!
Caralyne and Pepper are having some seperation issues with the old couch leaving! She actually cried over it, and refused to come inside. Kids are great! I wubz my Caralyne, BUT the couch is GONE!
